Why use Panopto
Panopto is a lecture capture and media streaming system that allows you to capture your presentation or lecture in real time and upload it to the cloud, where it can be shared out to Blackboard or other websites to be played back on many devices. It can also be used for media storage and live streaming content.
Creating a recording
Find out how to install, launch and create a Panopto recording using the Panopto Recorder in a lecture theatre, office PC or personal computer.
Editing your recording
Make a recording perfect or change it up. Panopto has a web based editor that allows you to trim, remove or add parts of your presentation. Quizzes can also be added from the editor.
Assessments and other uses
Panopto can be used for student assessments, recording student presentations or giving verbal feedback. Example scenarios and instructions for use are here.
Uploading
Panopto can also stream any other media content that you wish to be used in Blackboard or shared elsewhere. This section shows you how to upload your own content using a web browser or use the Panopto mobile apps for iOS and Android.

Panopto and Blackboard
Panopto is heavily integrated with Blackboard. To start using Panopto you’ll need to provision a Blackboard course. This section will explain how to activate it and how to embed content to your course.
Settings
Moving sessions into different courses, simply renaming it and more, all these changes are done from the ‘Settings’ menu of an individual sessions or course folders.
