eAssignments: Allowing Pop-Ups for eAssignments on Popular Browsers

eAssignments will naturally timeout after around 30 minutes of inactivity, to ensure you do not lose any work you can enable pop ups solely for eAssignments.

Google Chrome:

  1. Log into “https://coordinate.assignments.soton.ac.uk/“.
  2. In the address bar, to the left of the website address, you’ll likely see an icon indicating pop-ups are blocked (it might look like a window with an ‘X’). Click on this icon.
  3. Select “Always allow pop-ups and redirects from https://coordinate.assignments.soton.ac.uk/” and click “Done.”

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Go to “https://coordinate.assignments.soton.ac.uk/“.
  2. Click the shield icon on the left side of the address bar.
  3. Find the setting for pop-ups and switch it to “Allow.”

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Go to “https://coordinate.assignments.soton.ac.uk/“.
  2. Click the three dots menu in the top right corner and go to “Settings.”
  3. Select “Cookies and site permissions” and then “Pop-ups and redirects.”
  4. Click “Add” next to the “Allow” section.
  5. Type in “https://coordinate.assignments.soton.ac.uk/” and press “Add.”

Safari:

  1. Open Safari and go to “https://coordinate.assignments.soton.ac.uk/“.
  2. Go to the “Safari” menu at the top and click “Preferences.”
  3. Select the “Websites” tab and then choose “Pop-up Windows” from the left sidebar.
  4. In the dropdown menu next to “https://coordinate.assignments.soton.ac.uk/“, select “Allow”.

Important Note: Exercise caution when allowing pop-ups. Only do this for sites you trust to avoid potential scams or malware.
