Blackboard – Joining a Self-Enrolment course

Student guide: A course instructor can set up a Blackboard course to allow students to enrol themselves on the course.

Enrol in a Self-Enrolment course

You may be sent a link to a Self-Enrolment Blackboard course. You will see a screen inviting you to enrol in the course when you follow the link.

  • Select Submit to enrol.
  • You may be asked to enter an access code – this will be given to you by the course instructor if needed.

You will be taken to the Success screen to let you know you are enrolled in the course.

  • Select OK to be taken to the course.

The course will now show in your Blackboard Courses list.

To Un-enrol from the course

If you have self-enrolled in a course, you need to contact a course Instructor to request to be removed.

Troubleshooting

You do not have access to Blackboard

You will not be able to log into Blackboard for up to 48 hours after subscribing to your IT account as it will take time to set up all of your IT access.

You will need to set up Multi-Factor Authentication to access university IT services.
